Fortnite: Travis Scott live event players 2020
During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in April 2020 when many people were stuck at home, gamers turned to their favorite pastime to help them through lockdown. To capitalize on this captive audience, the popular battle royale game Fortnite collaborated with U.S. rapper Travis Scott to put on a live event within the game. This series of five events, named Fortnite: Astronomical, featured various songs from the artist, as well as a world preview song. During the first live show, a peak of 12.3 million players participated in the event, marking an all-time record for the game.
