Quarterly share of contactless in retail (POS) card payments in Denmark 2016-2021
Contactless payments in Denmark increased significantly during the last four years. As of the first quarter of 2016, contactless payments composed four percent of all payments in Danish physical stores, whilst during the second quarter of 2021, 72 percent of all payments were made contactless.
