Global cost per capita of air pollution from fossil fuels by country 2020

Luxembourg was the country with the highest costs per capita associated to air pollution from fossil fuel combustion worldwide as of February 2020, amounting to some 2,600 U.S. dollars. The United States and Switzerland were ranked second, both with an estimated cost of 1,900 U.S. dollars per capita. Most of these costs are associated to impacts on human health due to air pollution.
