Argentina: SME retail sales growth by category and channel February 2020
According to a survey among small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in Argentina, physical retail stores saw decreases in sales volume in February 2020 when compared to the same month of the previous year. Only physical retailers in the categories food and beverages and clothing maintained the same sales volume than the year before, registering growth rates of zero percent that month. On the other hand, most Argentinian online retailers recorded positive year-on-year sales growth in February 2020. The only two categories registering negative growth rates were tires and auto-parts for cars and motorcycles, with -7.5 percent, and furniture, decoration and home textiles, with -1.7 percent.
