
Average yearly price for car insurance in Italy 2020, by macro-region
According to a survey conducted in February 2020, nearly one in three Italians aged 18 years and older holding a car insurance policy said that their yearly insurance premium cost between 300 and 400 euros, regardless of the region where they lived in. However, the share of people living on the Islands (Sardinia and Sicily) who pay less than 300 euros for their car insurance is quite higher than the rest of the country. Overall, the vast majority pays less then 500 euros for car insurance, while the share of people spending more than 600 euros is rather low.
