In total, 32 percent of approved applications for cannabis therapy reimbursement were for the treatment of ADHS, while almost 78 percent were for Tourettes. German health insurance companies are allowed to approve reimbursement for the medical use of cannabis since March 2017, as prescribed, when it was legalized by the German government, though the drug remains illegal.
