This statistic ranks the leading five most popular methods of consumer purchase in Europe in 2019. While e-commerce and unified commerce methods of purchase are becoming increasingly popular, 69 percent of European consumers still made the majority of their purchases in physical retail outlets in 2019. Mobile apps were the most popular method of shopping online, at 28 percent.
