In 2018, roughly 65 percent of foreign visitors who came to South Korea as medical tourists visited hospitals and clinics in the capital city of Seoul. This made Seoul the region seeing the most foreign patients that year. Other popular regions were the Gyeonggi province, and the cities of Incheon and Daegu, with around 12 percent and 4.7 percent respectively.
