Leading digital radio stations ranked by reach in France 2024

In March 2024, France Inter topped the list with more than 34 million plays, followed by RMC and France Info with respectively around 25 and 18 million plays.

A wide offer

France Inter belongs to the Radio France group, a public service radio broadcaster at the helm of seven national networks. These offer a wide range of different subjects and content, such as generalist and in-depth news coverage or cultural programming (arts, science, history). Many podcast listeners claimed to be mostly interested in general news and cultural trends.

The boom of podcasting

Because of the limited resources required, many creators can offer increasingly varied and specialized content. This growing offer attracts many listeners, regardless of gender, age or occupation. This phenomenon has led to the emergence of new ways of consuming audio content, such as podcasting, which is experiencing a real boom in France at the moment.
