Number of new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Europe 2021

As of September 5, 2021, there have been 64,395,450 confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) across the whole of Europe since the first confirmed cases in France on January 25, 2020. There were approximately two million new cases reported in the week ending November 8, 2020, the highest number of daily cases in a single week. There was a significant increase in the number of new cases in Europe in the fall of 2020. Russia has had the highest amount of confirmed cases in Europe with 7,012,599, followed by the UK with 6,978,126 cases. A full breakdown of the confirmed cases in Europe can be found here.
