According to a survey conducted in November 2019, approximately 30.6 percent of surveyed Japanese citizens aged 60 to 69 years old thought that the number of refugees and people in need of humanitarian care in Japan was small, while an additional 28.9 percent found it to be relatively small. This added up to a majority of around 59.5 percent, making people in their 60s the demographic most commonly viewing the refugee number in Japan as small in this particular survey.
