Japan: reasons for caution regarding reception of refugees 2019

According to a survey conducted in November 2019, more than 67 percent of respondents who were in favor of more caution regarding the intake of refugees stated the likelihood of criminals entering the country as one of the reasons for their stance. At 39.3 percent, complication of daily life due to a difference in culture and lifestyle was also a commonly stated reason.
