In 2019, there were almost 10 million people attending non-ticketed heritage events in Singapore. According to a survey in 2019, the share of respondents in Singapore who were interested in the arts decreased to 29 percent.

Arts events refer to attendance at performing arts events organised and supported by the National Arts Council, Esplanade and the People's Association.

Heritage events refer to attendance at outreach events organised by the National Heritage Board (NHB). These events include community outreach activities organised by NHB institutions and museums, including the Singapore Night Festival and the Singapore Heritage Festival. The figure excludes incidental viewership and events where attendance figures are unable to be determined. Non-ticketed heritage events may also include some performing arts elements.
