Respondents' reaction on the coronavirus outbreak Indonesia 2020 by gender

According to a survey conducted in Indonesia in March 2020, 43 percent of the female respondents stated that they were feeling panicked by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 outbreak in Indonesia. In comparison, the male respondents seemed to be more less panic by the virus outbreak. Indonesia's President, Joko “Jokowi” Widodo announced the first two confirmed cases of the disease in the country on March 2, 2020. Before the announcement, Indonesia had no confirmed cases of COVID-19, raising concerns about the country’s ability to detect the virus.
