* According to the source, the comparability of the time series is limited due to the following methodological changes:
2005: change from a survey with a fixed reference week to a continuous survey with a rolling reference week.
2011: Change of extrapolation from an update of the 1987 census results and data from the central population register of the former GDR from October 3, 1990 to an extrapolation on the basis of population extrapolation on the basis of the 2011 census.
2016: Change in the use of stock samples based on the 1987 census and the population register Statistics from the GDR were formed on stock samples based on the 2011 census.

The statistics refer to private households at the main and secondary residence.

The data are results of the microcensus.
