Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients in ICU in Italy as of November 26, 2020, by region

After entering Italy, the coronavirus (COVID-19) spread fast and the cases reported reached approximately 1.4 million. This has put under a lot of pressure the health system. After reaching the peak in April, however, the number of individuals hospitalized, or treated in Intensive Care Units (ICU) decreased gradually, before increasing again in the last weeks. Indeed, as of November 22, 2020, the number of coronavirus patients treated in ICU was 3,801, with Lombardy, Piedmont, and Lazio all reporting more than 300 individuals in ICU. Lombardy's figure was by far the highest, with 949 individuals being treated in Intensive Care Units. This was also the region with the highest number of cases in the country.
