U.S. new waste dumped in landfills per capita by state 2019
Indiana was the U.S. state with the highest per capita waste acceptance in landfills in 2019, accounting for about 2.35 short tons of waste per capita, followed closely by Michigan, with 2.27 short tons of landfill waste accepted per person.
