COVID-19 impacted out-of-stock level of products online in China February-March 2020

During the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, people around the world rushed to stock up on daily necessities and healthcare products. In China, medical products such as cough remedies and vitamin C saw most serious supply shortages on e-commerce platforms during the survey period of three weeks from February 24 to March 15, 2020. Bleach out-of-stock level increased from zero to 14.3 percent in the second week of March as more people returned to work and more consumers did deep-cleaning at home.
