During a representative survey of the British adult population, undertaken between the 16th and 17th March 2020, respondents were asked their opinion on which events should take priority in the event that domestic sport leagues are paused as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the next opportunity to complete them overlaps with international sports fixtures or tournaments. There was significant variation between the responses if the age groups. The age group with the largest share respondents that indicated that the completion of domestic leagues competitions should take priority was the 35-44 year old age group with 37 percent.
