Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Swedish economy was forecast to have a slower development than previously expected. GDP was expected to increase by 0.5 percent in 2020 and by 1.4 percent in 2021. The COVID-19 outbreak has the highest impact on durable goods in Sweden. HUI Research revised their forecast growth from 3.2 percent in 2019 to 1.5 percent in 2020.
