European e-commerce: y-o-y revenue growth January-June2020

Since the start of 2020, pure e-commerce businesses in Europe experienced fluctuations in their weekly growth rates. While throughout February, percentage change in revenues generally remained under 40 percent, April saw year-over-year growth rates go up to 75 percent. The highest growth in revenue took place in the week ending May 17.

Many European countries including Italy, Spain, the UK, France, and the Netherlands saw confirmed Covid-19 cases exponentially growing during this period. Subsequently, governments responded with lockdown measures in order to contain the further spread of the virus.
