The delivery of online orders has a significant impact on the environment. In 2021, a survey among online retailers based in Switzerland showed that 45 percent of them offered a click & collect option, while 37 percent consolidated multiple orders into a single shipment. A quarter of Swiss online retailers could arrange climate-neutral shipping without extra charges for customers.
