After the confinement in France was announced due to the coronavirus outbreak (Covid-19), the source had analyzed the proportion of food delivery orders during the first and last week of March 2020, and had compared the behaviors of men and women. Overall, a higher proportion of men ordered food to be delivered as compared to women. During the last week of March, the percentage of women using these services went down to under 30 percent.

The source adds the following information: " The online sales made in France were studied during the weeks from March 2 to 8 (reference week) We studied the sales made online in France, during the weeks from March 2 to 8 (reference week) and subsequent weeks. The variations were calculated by taking the index of 1.0 the week of March 2-8 and comparing it to sales made the week before. Unless otherwise stated, the indexes are based on the turnover of the various online players (except food, in number of orders), based on the panel of 500,000 digital consumers in Europe.

Here, the values were collected between March 2 - 8 and March 23 - 29, 2020.
