Number of lower secondary schools in Norway 2010-2020
The number of lower secondary schools has decreased slightly over the course of ten years. In 2010, there were 497 schools, and in 2020 the number had decreased to 493 schools, which was lower than the previous year. Norwegian children enter lower secondary schools after primary school, usually around the age of 12 or 13 years.
