As of July 14, 2020, Belgium had the highest rate of coronavirus deaths among its population in the European Economic Area at 85.43 deaths per 100,000 population. The United Kingdom has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus deaths in Europe, which is also an incidence of 67.26 deaths per 100,000 people in the country.

Across the whole of Europe, there have been over 2.8 million confirmed cases of coronavirus. In Russia, Europe's worst affected country, the incidence rate is approximately 503 cases per 100,000 population.
