According to the survey on wildlife trade in Hong Kong, about 93 percent of respondents would like to support the efforts of the local governments and health ministries in taking actions against illegal and unregulated markets that sell wild animals. Approximately 80 percent of the respondents believed the closure of the illegal wildlife market would prevent the spread of a similar disease in the future.
