Population distribution by five-year age group in Taiwan 2022
According to a projected five-year age distribution of the population of Taiwan in 2022, the largest age cohort was that between 40 and 44 years of age, amounting to around two million people. The total population of Taiwan ranged at approximately 23.26 million people in 2022. A breakdown of the population by broad age groups reveals that around 70.8 percent of the total population was in working age between 15 and 64 years in 2021.
