Impact of COVID-19 on TV viewing Malaysia 2020

As at March 31, 2020, the TV Ratings for all free-to-air and paid TV channels in Malaysia was at 20.57 percent. The TV ratings in Malaysia saw a marked increase since the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia on March 18. The MCO essentially restricts the movement of Malaysians out of the home to only essential activities such as grocery shopping or medical emergencies. The MCO has been extended for the third time to May 12.
