Reasons for not going home to celebrate Eid in Indonesia 2020

A survey on Indonesians in March 2020 found that 54.6 percent of Indonesian respondents stated that the government recommendations to reduce travel was the main reason why they would not be going back to their hometown for Eid. The annual movement of people from the cities in Indonesia back to their hometowns is known there as "mudik". From April 24, 2020, until May 31, 2020, the Indonesian government has prohibited its citizen to use any transportation for traveling purposes during Ramadan month to suppress the case numbers of coronavirus in Indonesia.
