Last contraceptive used among U.S. women who had been in foster care, 2011-2017

Data from 2011 to 2017 shows that 23 percent of females aged 18 to 44 years who had been in foster care did not use contraceptives the last time they had sex in the past 12 months, compared to 21 percent of women who had not been in foster care. This statistic shows the distribution of contraceptive method use at last sex in past 12 months among U.S. women aged 18-44 who had been in foster care and those who had not, 2011-2017.
