Opinion on conditions that should be exempt from prescription charge in England 2019
A survey of healthcare professionals in England in 2019, found that 72 percent of respondents thought that chronic neurological conditions, such as multiple sclerosis, should be included in the list of medical conditions which are exempt from prescription charges. Furthermore, 66 percent of health workers believed that chronic respiratory conditions should also be added to the prescription charges exempt list, while 60 percent also want mental disorders to be exempt.
