BNP Paribas: leverage ratio 2017-2022
The leverage ratio refers to debt or the banks’ ability to meet financial obligations. The ratio uses Tier 1 capital in order to measure how leveraged a bank is in relation to its consolidated assets. Higher leverage ratios indicate that a bank is more capable of withstanding risks than those with low leverage ratios.
