Japan: opinion on the gendered division of labor 2023

According to a survey on gender equality conducted between November 2022 and January 2023, over 64 percent of respondents in Japan disagreed with the statement that a husband should work outside of the home while a wife should take care of the household. Disagreement with traditional gender roles was higher among women.
