Increased likelihood of select conditions due to poor mental health U.S. 2018
McKinsey Consumer survey fielded in 2018 showed that Medicaid beneficiaries with mental health conditions were 5.6 times as likely to suffer from arthritis than Medicaid beneficiaries without mental health conditions. This statistic shows the increased likelihood of arthritis, hypertension and diabetes among Medicaid beneficiaries with mental health conditions compared to the general Medicaid population in the U.S. in 2018.
