52.4 percent male and 47.6 percent female;
32.2 percent from East China, 15.6 percent from Central China, 14.6 percent from Southwest China,12.5 percent from South China,10.9 percent from North China, 8.6 percent from Northeast China and 5.6 percent from Northwest China.

Impaired fasting glycemia (IFG) and diabetes is defined as fasting blood glucose equal to or higher than 5.6mmol/L or Hemoglobin A1C level equals to or higher than 5.7%, or with a history of diagnosis of diabetes.
