Japan: share of men who like RPG video games by age group 2020

According to a survey conducted by the Nippon Research Center in February 2020, almost 51 percent of Japanese men in their thirties stated to like role-playing video games (RPGs), such as Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. RPGs were the most popular genre among Japanese men aged 30 to 59 years old, while younger men showed a slightly higher preference for action games. Men aged 60 years and older, on the other hand, preferred virtual board games and puzzle games to a higher degree.
