Thailand: gaming-related purchases 2022

According to a survey by Rakuten Insight in April 2022, almost 34 percent of Thai respondents stated that they made random-chance purchases or loot boxes in the past six months. The survey also explored reasons of making gaming-related purchases and it revealed that around 33 percent of Thai respondents thought they price was reasonable.

The survey was conducted among 7,476 female and 3,979 male respondents. Other surveyed countries included China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam.
