According to an April 2020 survey of U.S. adults, only 12 percent of respondents felt very comfortable with tech companies sharing their location data, including where they had traveled, with the government so that the government could better track the spread of the coronavirus. Overall, 34 percent of respondents felt very uncomfortable with this idea.
