Hardware sales of Nintendo Switch worldwide 2017-2023, by region
Since its launch on March 3, 2017, the Nintendo Switch has sold over 78 million consoles worldwide. The Switch sets itself apart from its competitors by the fact that it can be used as both a stationary console and a portable device, meaning that gamers can play from the comfort of their own homes or on the go. Hardware sales for the Nintendo Switch amounted to around 18 million units in the 2023 fiscal year, of which nearly seven million units were sold in the Americas.
