As per the results of a March 2020 survey on online gaming by Rakuten Insight, a majority of the surveyed Indian gamers engaged in free to play online games. About 28 percent between 16 and 24 years of age, and 44 percent of respondents who were 55 years old and above stated that they played completely free games in the surveyed time period.
