Body mass index among Indian women 2019 by weight bracket
As per the results of a large scale survey in 2019, a majority of Indian women at 39 percent, were found to have a normal body mass index. While around 26 percent of the respondents were overweight. Only 15 percent of surveyed women were underweight, whereas 23 percent of the surveyed men were underweight across the country that year.
