Load factor among truck drivers in China January and May 2020

According to a survey among Chinese truck drivers, about 33 percent of truck drivers reported that they usually reached the load capacity, about eight percent higher than before the COVID-19 epidemic. About 35 percent of the truckers said that they were returned empty.

26.2 percent of short-distance truck drivers and 73.8 percent of long-distance truck drivers.
About 89.6 percent of the respondents were self-employed, 8.1 percent of the respondents were employed by private truck owners and 2.3 percent of the respondents were employed by logistic enterprises.
