Empty return rate among truck drivers China January and May 2020

According to a survey among Chinese truck drivers, about 35.7 percent of the truck drivers reported that they returned with empty load in May 2020. More than 20 percent of the driver usually returned with empty load after COVID-19.

26.2 percent of short-distance truck drivers and 73.8 percent of long-distance truck drivers.
About 89.6 percent of the respondents were self-employed, 8.1 percent of the respondents were employed by private truck owners and 2.3 percent of the respondents were employed by logistic enterprises.
