In 2018, the cultural and entertainment broadcasts had a share of 19 percent of TV broadcasting hours in Qatar each. In comparison, advertisements were the least popular service type at one percent of broadcasting hours. Qatar produced a total of 175 TV programs in 2018, a majority of which were nationally produced.
