Per capita consumption of functional water in the U.S. 2010-2022
Enhanced, otherwise known as functional, water is mineral water which has been fortified with extra ingredients which claim to offer additional health benefits. Consumption of enhanced water was forecast to increase in the coming years in the United States. In 2018, per capita consumption stood at 6.3 liters, this figure was estimated to increase to 7.5 liters by 2022.
