Agriculture sector's value-added to GDP in South Africa 2016-2021
In 2021, the agriculture, forestry, and fishing industry in South Africa contributed an added value of nearly 129 billion South African Rand (roughly 8.51 billion U.S. dollars) to the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The value added by the sector increased around 8.3 percent in comparison to the previous year, when it reached approximately 119.1 billion Rand (around 7.86 billion U.S. dollars).
