Finance sector's value added to GDP in South Africa 2014-2019

In 2019, the South African finance, real estate and business services sector contributed with an added value of approximately 655 billion rand (roughly 39 billion U.S. dollars) to the country's gross domestic product (GDP). This represents an increase of almost 15 billion rand in comparison to the previous year, when the sector's added value to the country's GDP added up to approximately 640 billion rand.
