Estimated investment for airports in India FY 2020-2025 by type of development
An investment of nine billion U.S. dollars of investment were estimated for greenfield airport developments across India between the financial years of 2020 and 2025. In all, around 100 greenfield and brownfield airport developments were planned to improve regional connectivity across the country. The Indian aviation sector witnessed unprecedented growth over the last 15 years and it was expected that the growth will further continue with government initiatives like the UDAN scheme.
