Export and import value of yarn India FY 2021, by type
The export value of cotton spun yarn from India was at around 3.5 billion U.S. dollars in the financial year 2021. The import value, meanwhile, was merely 17 million U.S. dollars for the same time period.
With a growing organized apparel sector and rising income levels, India was the world's second largest textile and clothing exporter with a steady growth forecast in this market.
