Pork import volume to Japan FY 2013-2022
In fiscal year 2022, around 965 thousand tons of pork meat were imported to Japan, an increase from 744 thousand tons in fiscal 2013. Pork is considered a staple product on the Japanese meat market, with imported products being necessary to cover the domestic demand.
